Dolly Parton was born on the 19th of January 1946 located in Locust Ridge Tenn. She grew up with 12 other children. She had a vivid imagination that allowed her to escape life's harsh reality. life. Songs were being written by her before she learned to write or read. At the age of 8, she got her first guitar. As a teenager when she was 11, she began singing on the radio station of Knoxville Tenn. Her first album was recorded within the same calendar year Gold Band Records, a tiny independent label. She made a name for herself locally while still in the high school system, but she wanted to be on of having a larger stage. Following her graduation from highschool in 1964, she immediately relocated to Nashville. Dumb Blonde was her first single to reach the top of the charts on Monument Records. Around this time, Porter Wagoner was looking for an actress to sing for the show he had syndicated to television. Parton was found in the year 1967, signed with RCA Records by 1968, and was a part of the Grand Ole Opry. She left the show in 1974 as her solo songs like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene were out-charting their collaborations. Parton was a part of the group that split after the end of their collaboration with Wagoner she wrote the song"I'm Always Loving You and saw it climb to No. 1. for the first time in 1974.
