Lee Roy Selmon's story is a mix of football scholarship for his family and service to his community. One of the first things he did is to help his relatives. Lucious Selmon was the father of Jessie Selmon. The family raised nine kids in a Eufala farm. In football, he was with his three brothers from Oklahoma. Three brothers were All-America. The year 1973 was the first time Lee Roy and Lucious Jr. Dewey were the starters for one year. Lee Roy won the Outland and Lombardi Awards as the nation's most effective lineman. He won two championships and 31-1-1 during his three years as Oklahoma's starter. Selmon was an National Football Foundation Scholarship-Athlete, Selmon was awarded the opportunity to receive a scholarship in his third time in the year 1975. Selmon earned a degree in Education. Fourth service In the college Lee Roy devoted ten hours per week to volunteer projects. After college he settled in Tampa playing nine years for the Buccaneers were an all-pro three times before beginning a business career.
